We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Harry Packer Mansion Inn from October 17-19, 2025, and we must say, it was an exceptional experience! The staff were warm, welcoming, and accommodating, offering great recommendations for local eateries. The mansion's historic charm was impeccably preserved, with beautifully maintained furniture and decor that perfectly fit the era. The room was spotless, with a comfortable bed that ensured a restful stay. The breakfast spread was delightful, and the location was perfect – within walking distance to local restaurants, boutiques, and the railroad.

One of the highlights was the proximity to the Asa Packer Mansion, which offered a fascinating 45-minute guided tour. We also appreciated the opportunity to meet fellow travelers staying during the same period.

While parking is limited, our Jeep fit snugly in the designated area, and additional parking options are available nearby for a fee. A short walk down the hill leads to more parking options. Overall, I highly recommend the Harry Packer Mansion Inn for its unique blend of history, charm, and excellent service."

I loved staying at the Harry Packer Mansion! The staff were a true highlight of the experience, they were all incredibly kind and accommodating. I was there for the murder mystery weekend and I had a blast! The rooms were beautiful and quiet. The location only gets 4/5 stars due to the fact parking is difficult and you have to walk up a giant hill if you walk downtown and come back.

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend at the Harry Packer Mansion. We both had an incredible experience at the Murder Mystery! So much fun! Our suite was cozy and comfortable. The friendliness of the staff was impressive. Thank you Maddie, Abby and Naomi! We will be back again!

This place was amazing and Naomi made the entire weekend extra special. She took care of us from the moment we arrived. Naomi is an amazing employee in an amazing mansion.

Wish I could give more than 5 stars for my review because this was THE BEST bed and breakfast we have ever been to!
HUGE props going out to Naomi-as she was what made our stay even more amazing! Her upscale service, personality to make you feel at home, and above and beyond service was simply…Impeccable! Even her little sidekick Abbi was the sweetest and is obviously learning from the best!
The rooms are clean, spacious, sparkling, and richly detailed. We enjoyed learning the history of Harry’s mansion and Naomi made sure to give us the inside scoop of “what to do while in Jim Thorpe.” Appreciated!!!🩷

The Harry Packer Mansion is a wonderful, charming location tucked away on a hill overlooking the town of Jim Thorpe. It's perfect for a weekend to get away! The staff is so kind and accommodating, the murder mystery was truly a fun experience and the historic property speaks for itself. It's certainly a lovely place to check out!

Staying at the Harry Packer Mansion was a special treat. We were treated so kindly. The staff were amazing. We requested plant-based meals and they went above and beyond to make sure we had a delicious meal. We stayed in the carriage house. Our room was cozy and had everything we needed. Also the murder mystery event was spectacular. The performances were on point and included you on the fun. I loved staying here and didn't want to leave.

This is the spot to stay in Jim Thorpe, PA if you’re looking for that old time feel and amazing views. Staff was amazing the entire weekend we stayed here. Breakfast is good for fueling up before a long day of exploring. Drinks on the porch are a must as well. Rooms are spacious and very easy to relax in. The hill from downtown to the Inn can be tough but just take some breaks and snap photos along the way! Thanks for a great weekend!

This place is amazing! Beautifully restored. Staff was superb. Food and drinks were excellent. We did an amazing murder mystery there. One of the best we have EVER done. And we have done a lot of them. The owners, Kathy and Tom, came out and sat and talked after the show. They are lovely and so interesting. We will definitely return.

My wife and I had an absolutely amazing weekend stay at the Harry Packer Mansion. The staff were welcoming, friendly and so attentive and helpful. The mansion is a beautiful treasure in Jim Thorpe. The murder mystery dinner was great. The actors were too notch and pulled the guests into a great who-done-it story based on the history of the Packer family and the village of Mauch Chunk (Jim Thorpe). We will definitely return.

We recently celebrated a 90th Birthday party at The Harry Packer Mansion. I can’t say enough about the wonderful service for our event. They paid attention to every detail to make this day so very special. The beauty of the mansion is breathtaking. Cathy, Maddi, Vittoria and Tom were most gracious. Thank you and we will be back.
